Lancaster Italian Cultural Society
We are pleased to present the 3rd annual L'Italia Festival at Lititz Springs Park. L'Italia Festival is an annual Italian Cultural Festival presented by the Keystone Italian Project. The goal of the Festival is to share and celebrate the things we love most about Italy -- the sense of community, the language, the games, the music, and (of course) the food!

CELEBRATING THE HERITAGE AND FLAVORS OF OUR CULTURALLY DIVERSE COUNTY
The One World Festival was born out of a beautiful coincidence, when on September 22, 2018, three vastly different cultures, Hispanic, Asian Indian, and Africans were being celebrated on the same day in different locations around the county.
One of the attendees brought that to the attention of the Asian Indian Festival planner, Deepa Balepur, who reached out to the other two, and eventually other local ethnic groups. The seed for the One World Festival was now planted.
The initial planning groups are from the Asian Indian, Greek, Latin/Hispanic, African, Irish, German, Italian and Jewish communities. We anticipate and hope to add more as the Festival grows.
The One World Festival allows us to share our common values and uniqueness on one day, and in one place. Acceptance of one another’s traditions is a choice, and we in the Lancaster County community are joyfully proclaiming our intention to do just that.

The Italian American Experience in Lancaster
A presentation by Jim Lombardo

Lunch including subs and salads will be offered. Bring a favorite dessert to share.
Cost $17. Children 10 and under are free.
Italian Americans have been in Lancaster County since the turn of the century. Immigrants arrived here, as in other American cities, to find a better life for themselves and their families.
What happened to them and how they settled here has often been neglected with little or no recorded history.
This presentation will look at those hidden years and shed some light on how the immigrants to
Lancaster settled, socialized and formed a community, which, due to a successful assimilation, never evolved into a "Little Italy" style community but nevertheless left its mark to this day.
Our presenter, Jim Lombardo, is a native Lancastrian who wrote three short histories

The Lancaster Italian Cultural Society is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This semi-formal event will take place at the Conestoga Country Club on April 25, 2020. The evening starts with hors d’oeuvres, a full course dinner and for your entertainment, live music. An invitation will be mailed to you via USPS with all the information. Seats are limited, so early registration is strongly recommended to ensure your participation. Hope you can join us!
